Effects of ultrasound irradiations time over Ni–Mo/?-Al2O3 catalyst synthesis for 1,3 – Propanediol selectively via aqueous phase reforming of glycerol

In general, aqueous phase reforming (APR) is used to convert glycerol into 1,3-propanediol (1,3-PDO), nonetheless, studies have shown a low selectivity of 1,3-PDO. Therefore, this study aims optimize the 1,3-PDO by varying ultrasound (Us) irradiation process time between 10 and 50 ?min during catalyst preparation. This investigate effect on physiochemical properties activity catalyst. Ni–Mo/Al2O3 catalysts were prepared using sonochemical method was characterized Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET), X-ray Powder Diffractometer (XRD), Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM) Hydrogen Temperature-programmed Reduction (H2-TPR). Characterization results revealed that there significant improvements in Ultrasound time. Subsequently, all screened APR for production an Autoclave PREMEX reactor liquid products analyzed determine From results, findings with Us radiation demonstrated high catalytic performance while producing highest concentration 954 ?ppm conversion 38.6%.
